Prednisone is a synthetic glucocorticoid drug used to treat allergic diseases and slow inflammation. The hormonal agent is used to remove toxins and relieve shock symptoms, and also has an immunosuppressive effect on the body. Prednisolone stimulates the production of red blood cells and the synthesis of ribonucleic acid.
In severe allergic reactions, intravenous administration of adequate doses of Prednisone has a therapeutic effect, but the onset of action is delayed.
Prednisone has a pronounced effect in adrenal insufficiency, which developed before and during surgery.
